EARLY REGISTRATION FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, EXTENDED

    To ensure that the incoming Senior High school Students are given ample time in
making decisions on their SHS track preference and ensure that they are enrolled comes
June 2016, the early registration period was extended from October 19 to November 13,
2015.

     The provisions stipulated in DepEd Order No. 48, s. 2015 entitled Amendment to DepEd
Order No. 41, s. 2015 “Guidelines on the Senior High School Career Guidance Program
and early Registration” signed by DepEd Secretary Bro. Armin A. Luistro directs all Grade
10 students in all public and private high schools to submit their choice of school and SHS
track to their respective class advisers. The class advisers of Grade 10 in public schools
are then tasked to register their students for SHS and submit learners’ preferences through
the SHS registration module in the Learner Information System (LIS) of DepEd.

     Students may select from among the four major tracks in Senior High School Program
such as Academic, Technical-Vocational Livelihood (TVL), Sports, and Arts and Design.

     High school graduates prior to the full implementation of the K to 12 Program, passers
of the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) and Accreditation and Equivalency (A
& E) Examination and other learners outside the formal system are also encouraged to
register in any of the schools offering the SHS.
